How is it going, friends?

Today we would like to make a small shift in recent weeks’ tradition and begin our update not with the speaker announcement, but with some other, pretty awesome news which you simply cannot miss.

An Event to Test your Skills

It’s been repeatedly pointed out that BlockShow Asia 2019, our upcoming Festival of Decentralized Technology, is going to be really versatile, and, apart from 10 conferences and several side events, will also include plenty of activities – and one of those is going to happen sooner than you expect.

October 26 is going to mark the start of the Trading Competition timed to BlockShow Asia 2019. Powered by eToro, the competition is going to be a unique online event that, according to eToro themselves, will offer participants “to discover their trading potential” in an absolutely non-risky way, also being free of charge.

Not risking their own funds, the participants, however, will have an opportunity to obtain a lot: apart from BlockShow tickets, the winners will also get money prizes, as well as their own little moment of glory as they will be awarded right at the stage of BlockShow in November! According to the current information, the winner of the Trading Competition will get $500, with the 2nd and 3rd places getting $300 and $200 respectively.

What’s also great about the upcoming competition, it’s the fact that it doesn’t have any barrier to entry at all, whether you are an experienced individual trader or just a beginner. So, if you feel lucky and confident, and ready to test your trading skills, BlockShow and eToro welcome you – just leave your participation request here right until October 23, follow the further rules, and good luck!

Speakers Joining the Show

We couldn’t leave you without our weekly report on industry leaders who have joined us recently, right? Especially when we really have something great to share – as always, this week we have a fantastic group of speakers to broaden our lineup, coming from various fields ranging from Trading and Marketing to Gaming.

John Linden

John Linden

Call of Duty, Magic The Gathering, Skylanders – you’ve probably heard of at least some of these franchises, and the reason we’re mentioning those is that John Linden was actually involved in each one of these series.

First thing’s first, though. Before entering Gaming, John has built a couple of his own startups, like Planet Alumni and Litmus Media, as well as served as the CEO and co-founder of Adknowledge and OpenX. Later on, led by his passion for videogames, he stepped up as a Studio Head of Activision Blizzard, where he was responsible for some of the earlier-mentioned brands, such as Call of Duty and Skylanders. As John’s career in the industry went on, he took his position as the President of Seismic Games, a studio known as the developer of Marvel Strike Force and Magic the Gathering: Valor’s Reach.

Today, John epitomizes his belief in the future of Blockchain by being the CEO of Mythical Games, a Blockchain-powered game company that aims to build player-owned economies with top game developers and publishers in addition to own portfolio of games.
