That’s it, friends!

Today we can safely say that BlockShow has reached its final frontier with only 4 weeks left until our Festival of Decentralized Technology takes off with all the conferences and side events to conclude all those fantastic work our team has been performing since the beginning of this year. I mean, how exciting it is?

And to add more excitement to our BlockShow Asia 2019 countdown, let us introduce you to our latest speaker pool arrivals. This week’s list is big, but some names in it are even bigger, so without further ado, let’s dig right in!

Brian Behlendorf

Recognized as one of the Top 10 Most Influential People in Blockchain by The New York Times in 2018, this key personality in the open-source software movement is known as a primary developer of the Apache Web server, the most popular web server software on the Internet, back in the late 90s – as well as the Founding Member of the Apache Software Foundation. Later on, he was serving on the board of the Mozilla Foundation since 2003; that exact year he was recognized as he was named as one of the top-100 innovators in the world under the age of 35 by the MIT Technology Review. 

Throughout his career, Brian has been serving as a CTO at various projects: he was a founding CTO of CollabNet in 1999, and became a CTO of the World Economic Forum in 2012. Today, Brian is the Executive Director of the open-source Hyperledger project at the Linux Foundation, which he joined in 2016.

Sarah Olsen

Having started her career at Rockefeller Financial back in 2010, Ms. Olsen was focused on third-party selection of alternative asset managers for funds of hedge funds and bespoke mandates. Then, there was Brightwood Capital, where she was in charge of capital raising for commingled funds investing in the equity and debt of U.S. middle-market businesses; Ms. Olsen has also worked with Apollo Global Management, where she, among other things, has separately managed accounts investing in structured and performing credit. 

For more than 2 years now, Ms. Olsen works at the next-gen digital asset exchange and custodian Gemini, most recently as Managing Director, being in charge of Corporate Development.

Roger Lim

Throughout his career, Roger has set up and built several Asian companies. After co-founding and serving as CEO at Webvisions, he joined Innosight, a Singapore-based venture firm, as a General Partner; the company is currently leverages applied research by thought leaders like Clayton Christensen of Harvard Business School, best known for his theory of disruptive innovation.

In 2017, Roger co-founded NGC Ventures, a company striving to become one of the best investment platforms in the Blockchain ecosystem by adopting best practices from traditional investments and partnering leading investment professionals and technical developers in the world. In roughly a couple of years, NGC Ventures has managed to become one of the largest institutional Blockchain investors and a key contributor to the leading projects like Zilliqa, Ontology, Algorand, Oasis, Certik, Bluzelle and Polkadot.

Matthew Roszak

In 2013 Matthew stepped up as a founding partner of Tally Capital, an investment firm with a portfolio of such prominent companies as Binance, Block.One, Blockstream, Civic, Qtum and more. Since 2014 Matthew began serving as Chairman of the Chamber of Digital Commerce. For roughly 4 years now, Matthew is also on board of BitGive, a non-profit that improves philanthropic impact with blockchain technology.

In 2016, Matthew co-founded and became a Chairman of Bloq, a company working with various industry leaders to build, sponsor, and advise on the Blockchain and Token solutions implementation.

Darius Sit

Darius has spent years trading cross-asset derivatives before moving on to manage the Asia FX & Bonds book at BNP Paribas in NY. In 2017 he became a Managing Partner at QCP Capital, a company maximizing emerging opportunities in the Asian Digital Asset market.

George Zarya

Having been leading large investment banking teams internationally for over a decade, in 2018 George took his position as the CEO of BEQUANT, a London- and Malta-based Crypto exchange & brokerage.

Alexandre Kech

With over 20 years of experience in capital markets, Alexandre went from global custody and asset servicing at BNY Mellon to being Head of Securities’ FX at SWIFT. Today he serves as the CEO at Onchain Custodian, building and launching an institutional digital custody service in Singapore.

Ulisse Dell’Orto

Earlier in his career, Ulisse founded a community named “The Blockchain Bible”, studying blockchain applications and guiding investors through the ecosystem. Today he serves as a  Managing Director, APAC, at Chainalisys, running educational events and guiding regulators and top financial institutions through how Crypto businesses can comply with the new global AML standards.

Yo Nakagawa

Yo is in charge of managing Monex’s operations in HK and Australia. In the company, he is also responsible for Blockchain- and Crypto-related investment. Apart from it, he serves as an advisor to the Coincheck crypto exchange.

Alex Melikhov

With over 14 years in Fintech and entrepreneurship, Alex has entered the world of Crypto in 2013, having co-founded the exchange company Changelly 2 years later. In 2018 he co-founded Equilibrium, the framework cryptocurrency exchange aiming to empower DeFi and accelerate the development of the DeFi economy and the future of money.

Pavlo Radchuk

Having started his career at KPMG and EY, Pavlo is currently a Blockchain Security Lead at Hacken, responsible for Blockchain security project management, smart contract audits, and Blockchain security consultancy.
